SidelineStats ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SidelineStats mobile application and the sidelinestats.app website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When a league administrator creates an account, we collect a username and email address. Player and parent information (names, email addresses) is entered by league administrators on behalf of their organization.

League Data: Game scores, player statistics, schedules, standings, and other league management data entered by authorized users.

Usage Data: We collect basic analytics such as page views, feature usage, and device type to improve the Service.

Push Notification Tokens: If you opt in to push notifications, we store your device token to deliver notifications about game updates, schedule changes, and league announcements.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain league management features (scores, stats, schedules, standings)
To send notifications about games, schedule changes, and league announcements
To provide the ScoutAI analytics assistant
To improve and optimize the Service
To communicate important service updates

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:

Within your league: Player names, statistics, and game data are visible to other members of the same league as part of normal league operations.
Cloudflare: Our infrastructure provider, which processes requests to deliver the Service.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data Retention

League data is retained as long as the league account is active. League administrators may request deletion of their league data by contacting us. Individual users may request removal of their personal information.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure authentication tokens, and role-based access controls to protect your information.

6. Children's Privacy

SidelineStats is a youth sports management tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Player information for minors is entered and managed by league administrators and parents. Parents may contact us to review or delete their child's information.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of marketing communications (via email preferences)
Opt out of push notifications (via device settings)

8. Email Communications

League administrators may send announcements via our email system. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link and a link to manage your notification preferences. Operational notifications (game assignments, registration confirmations) cannot be unsubscribed from.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
